Lisa Kitinoja biography

Lisa Kitanoja is a founder and President of The Postharvest Education Foundation, and Principal Consultant and co-founder of Postharvest Innovations, LLC. In her current position at the Foundation, she works with extension workers and trainers in nonprofit organizations, horticulture companies, research scientists, postharvest professionals, and graduate students in Africa, the Middle East, South Asia, and South East Asia.

Lisa has been a consultant in international horticultural development since the 1980s. Her areas of specialization include postharvest technology, food loss reduction, and the extension of information on small-scale postharvest handling practice. She also serves as a senior technical advisor for the World Food Logistics Organization (WFLO).

She received her Ph.D. in Extension Education from The Ohio State University.

Ceres 2030 is a partnership between Cornell IP-CALS,  the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI), and the  International Institute of Sustainable Development (IISD)
