Vincent Ricciardi biography
Vincent Ricciardi is a Ph.D. candidate in Resource Management and Environmental Studies (RMES) at the University of British Columbia, where he is a Liu Scholar, Public Scholar, and a recipient of UBC’s Four-Year Fellowship. In 2014, he received an M.Sc. in Geography from the Pennsylvania State University.
He uses synthesis methods and big data to understand the role of small-scale farmers in the global food system. His research concentrates on the intersection of sustainable agriculture, poverty alleviation, resilience, resource management, sustainable intensification, and land use change.
For the past 10 years, he has worked as a consultant to government ministries, NGOs, and universities throughout Southeast Asia and in Ghana on agricultural development issues.
